The USU Faculty of Agriculture and BPTP North Sumatra signed an MoA and cooperation agreement to support agricultural research and community service.

Medan – FP USU: The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) and the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP) took place on Monday, October 3, 2022, in person at the Main Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture USU.


The event began with a welcoming speech by Dr. Khadijah El Ramija, S.Pi., M.P., Head of the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP) of North Sumatra, followed by remarks from Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture.


The first session included an introduction to the profile of the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP), followed by a discussion. This was followed by the reading of the Cooperation Agreement (PKS) by the Faculty of Agriculture’s representative, Yustika Venawati, S.Si., Head of the Subdivision for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration.


The event continued with the signing of the MoA and the Cooperation Agreement between the Faculty of Agriculture USU and BPTP, followed by a group photo.

 


Given that the Faculty of Agriculture consists of faculty members and students who are deeply involved in research and community service activities, it is crucial to establish a partnership with the Agricultural Technology Assessment Center (BPTP) to assist in providing information, monitoring, developing, and generating technologies in all fields of agriculture. This collaboration will ultimately support the conduct of research and community service activities.


The MoA signing ceremony and the Cooperation Agreement between FP USU and BPTP were met with enthusiasm from both sides and proceeded smoothly, establishing a very good cooperation. Additionally, the participants’ active participation led to very interactive discussions.


Finally, the event concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture.
