A partnership agreement was signed between BULOG and the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the North Sumatra Regional Office of Perum BULOG. The event was attended by the Head of the Supervisory Board of BULOG (Prof. Bayu Krisnamurthi), the North Sumatra Regional Head of BULOG (Arif Mandu), the North Sumatra Deputy Regional Head of BULOG (Maruly Abraham Syah), the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU (Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS.), a representative from the Food Security Agency (Elida Veranika Turnip, S.P., M.P.), the Head of the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness (Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec.), the Head of the Master’s Program in Agribusiness (Ir. Diana Chalil, M.Si., Ph.D.), the Dean's expert staff, Master's students from the Faculty of Agriculture USU, and BULOG staff.

In addition to the signing ceremony, the event also featured the dissemination of research results by three Master's students of the Agribusiness Program at the Faculty of Agriculture USU. The research focused on the meeting's theme: "The Impact of the SPHP Rice Program and Food Assistance on Stabilization and Community Welfare."

It is hoped that this partnership will be implemented in various forms of research activities, community service, and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program.
