On Saturday, October 28, 2023, a socialization event was held by the student affairs office of the Faculty of Agriculture USU with the theme "Achieving Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) Towards Creative and Adaptive Students". The Faculty of Agriculture USU's participation in the MBKM program is an effort at the faculty level to support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 1 and 2 of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., as the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, was present to give a welcoming speech and officially open the socialization event. The event was also attended by heads of study programs, secretaries of study programs, and students from the Faculty of Agriculture USU. During the event, students gained knowledge and information regarding the program's timeline and tips for passing the selection process of the MBKM program.

The speakers at the event included Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec., Ameilia Zuliyanti Siregar, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., Lukman Adlin Harahap, S.TP., M.Si., Ph.D., and Dr. Nini Rahmawati, S.P., M.Si. Additionally, several students shared their testimonies about the benefits and their experiences participating in the MBKM program.
It is hoped that in the future, more students from the Faculty of Agriculture will be motivated to participate, so that the number of students from FP USU joining the MBKM program increases, and the achievement of KPI 1 and 2 at Universitas Sumatera Utara is realized.
