The Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully held the Student Competition Exhibition on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the Suratman Hall of the Faculty of Agriculture USU. The event, which began at 09.00 WIB, served as a platform for students to showcase innovation, creativity, and outstanding works in agriculture and academic development.
The event began with remarks from representatives of the faculty leadership, representatives of the Department Student Associations (HMJ), and the Chairperson of Smart Agriculture 2, followed by the announcement of Smart Agri competition winners, prize presentations, and a joint documentation session.
The event was attended by representatives of the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Academic Affairs Expert Staff Hafnes Wahyuni, S.P., M.P., Student Affairs Expert Staff Vindy Rilani Manurung, S.Pi., M.P., Secretary of the Undergraduate Agrotechnology Study Program Prof. Dr. Ir. Yaya Hasanah, M.Si., lecturers of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Department Student Associations (HMJ), Student Organizations (Ormawa), students, alumni, and all competition participants.
In her remarks, Student Affairs Expert Staff Vindy Rilani Manurung, S.Pi., M.P., expressed appreciation for the successful implementation of the competition series, which involved participants from various universities. “Alhamdulillah, the entire series of activities including poster, essay, product, international-level, and booth competitions has been successfully carried out. A total of 20 universities participated in this event. The judging panel has evaluated 77 participants, consisting of 43 essays, 31 posters, and 3 products. Today, the exhibition has also been successfully held. We hope that all activities run smoothly and that this program continues to contribute to enhancing innovation and creativity,” she stated.
The competition attracted participation from 20 universities with a total of 77 submissions consisting of 43 essays, 31 posters, and 3 innovative products. The event is expected to serve as a platform for developing student potential while strengthening academic collaboration among higher education institutions.
