The Faculty of Agriculture at USU celebrates its 67th Dies Natalis with the theme “Millennial Agripreneurs for Food Security”, featuring exciting events and the inauguration of the Ready-to-Drink Water facility.

The Faculty of Agriculture at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) celebrated its 67th Dies Natalis with great enthusiasm. This year, the alumni class of 1993 successfully gathered participation from all alumni and took responsibility for organizing the event. The theme chosen for this celebration was “Millennial Agripreneurs for Food Security.”

The series of events began with the 67th Dies Natalis ceremony at Soeratman Hall. The ceremony was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., and attended by USU’s Vice Rector IV, Prof. Dr. Drs. Opim Salim Sitompul, M.Sc., representing the Rector. Also present were the Faculty Advisory Board (DPF), the Alumni Association (IKA FP USU), the Academic Senate and Professors, the keynote speaker Ir. Soekirman, Musa Rajekshah, S.Sos., M.Hum. (a figure committed to education), lecturers, alumni, and students of FP USU. The event also included the inauguration of the Ready-to-Drink Water facility, donated by FP USU alumni.

The celebration was further enlivened by various activities such as a fun walk, Zumba, sharing sessions, a band competition, a Mobile Legend tournament, a UMKM booth competition, a Durian Party, and the distribution of door prizes for lucky participants.

It is hoped that the 67th Dies Natalis celebration will further strengthen the solidarity among the academic community and alumni of the Faculty of Agriculture at USU. Long live the Faculty of Agriculture at USU! Pertaniaaaan Satuuuu!
