The USU Agribusiness Study Program, supported by the USU Faculty of Agriculture has held a public lecture entitled: "Malaysia-Indonesia Bilateral Trade: Review of the Experience of Quarantine Management of Agricultural Products from Indonesia and its Potential for the Development of Young Entrepreneurs" which featured speakers Puan Zarina Ramli, B.Sc., M.Sc., Director of Agricultural Economics at the Ministry of Agriculture Malaysia and Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec, Head of the USU Agribusiness Study Program, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at the D.H. Penny Building, USU Faculty of Agriculture.

The event was also attended by several business practitioners from Malaysia, the Food Crops and Horticulture Office of North Sumatra Province represented by Ir. Joni Akim Purba, M.P., the North Sumatra Chamber of Commerce and Industry represented by Dayan Sutomo, the Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, the Head and Secretary of the USU Agribusiness Study Program, lecturers of the USU Agribusiness Study Program, students of the USU Master's Program in Agribusiness, Ujiana Sianturi who is the Chairperson of the North Sumatra MSME Association, and students of the USU Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness.

The event was opened by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, represented by Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si. Then, the material delivery session was guided by a moderator, a Lecturer in the Agribusiness Study Program and an experienced practitioner in the field of extension, communication, and empowerment of rural communities, Ir. Yusak Maryunianta, M.P..

The first material was presented by Dr. Rulianda Prunomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec with the title "Bilateral Trade between Malaysia and Indonesia", then the second material was presented by Puan Zarina Ramli, B.Sc, M.Sc. with the title "Malaysia-Indonesia Bilateral Trade: Review of the Experience of Quarantine Management of Agricultural Products from Indonesia and its Potential for the Development of Young Entrepreneurs". Participants of the public lecture were allowed to ask questions to discuss with the speakers at the end of the lecture. The participants enthusiastically followed the public lecture so that the discussion session was interactive and lively.
