The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, officially signed an MoA with the National Land Agency (BPN) of Karo Regency on August 19, 2025. The partnership begins with a collaboration on the Agrarian Reform Access Business Assistance program in Dokan and Perbesi Villages.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), officially established cooperation with the National Land Agency (BPN) of Karo Regency through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at the Dean’s Meeting Room of the Faculty of Agriculture USU.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by the Head of BPN Karo Regency, Nhora Herawaty Saragih, S.ST., M.Si., along with staff, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS., Vice Dean III Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., expert staff, and the Head of Partnership Subdivision of FP USU.

 

In her remarks, Nhora Herawaty stated that the initial implementation of this cooperation would be realized through collaboration in the Agrarian Reform Access Business Assistance program in Dokan and Perbesi Villages.

“As the initial implementation of this cooperation, BPN Karo Regency invites the Faculty of Agriculture USU to collaborate in the Agrarian Reform Access Business Assistance program, which we will carry out in Dokan and Perbesi Villages,” said Ms. Nhora.

 

Meanwhile, the Dean of FP USU, Prof. Tavi, emphasized that the faculty welcomed this collaboration. “We welcome the invitation from BPN Karo Regency to collaborate in the Agrarian Reform Access program, and we will strive to contribute significantly to this initiative,” stated Prof. Tavi.

 

Through this cooperation, it is expected that more joint initiatives will be implemented to support the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi while making tangible contributions to community development.
