The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has established cooperation with the Livestock and Animal Health Office of Asahan Regency through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Dean’s Meeting Room, Faculty of Agriculture, USU.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), continues to expand its partnership network through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Livestock and Animal Health Office of Asahan Regency on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at the Dean’s Meeting Room, Faculty of Agriculture, USU.

 

The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S.; Vice Dean III, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si.; as well as the Head and Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Animal Science. Representing the Livestock and Animal Health Office of Asahan Regency, Drh. Yusnani, Head of the Office, was present along with staff members.

 

Through this agreement, both parties are committed to collaborating in the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, particularly in developing sustainable livestock practices. One of the follow-up plans of this cooperation is to prepare a business mapping study for the development of goat and sheep farming areas in Asahan Regency.

 

This partnership is expected to bring tangible benefits to the development of the regional livestock sector while serving as a platform for the academic community of the USU Faculty of Agriculture to contribute to regional development. This collaboration is anticipated to mark the beginning of various productive joint activities between the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, and the Livestock and Animal Health Office of Asahan Regency.
