The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, received a visit from the Japanese Embassy on Friday, March 22, 2024. The arrival of the Japanese Embassy team was warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean III of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., the Head of the Compost Center (Dr. Ir. Nurzainah Ginting, M.Sc.), and several lecturers of the Animal Husbandry study program. The Japanese Embassy who attended was Mr. Takabayashi Hiroki, as Minister of Coordination.
The Japanese Embassy team arrived to inspect the Compost Center, which the Japanese government granted in 2009 through donations from the Japanese community. At the Compost Center inspection session, there were demonstrations of eco-enzyme making, exposure to eco-enzyme products, an explanation of pyrolysis, and a demonstration of composting.
Hopefully, the arrival of the Minister of Coordination from the Japanese Embassy will help develop the Compost Center.
