Medan – FP USU: A workshop titled "How to Get Published in High Impact Journal" was successfully held in a hybrid format at the Seminar Room of DH Penny Building (Wednesday, October 19, 2022).
The event began with the national anthem, followed by an opening speech from the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si. The workshop featured four expert speakers in their respective fields.

The first speaker was Saharman Gea, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., a lecturer from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. He presented a session titled “Tips and Tricks for Publishing in High-Impact International Journals.” The second speaker, Dr. Riswanti Sigalingging, S.TP., M.Si., Ph.D., a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture, delivered a presentation on “Structure of International Scientific Article Writing.” The first session of the workshop was moderated by Nursa’adah, S.ST., M.Agr., a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture.


In the second session, the third speaker, Tasya Chairuna Pane, S.P., M.P., a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture, presented a session on “International Scientific Article Writing Format.” The fourth speaker, R. B. Moh. Ibrahim Fatoni, S.Pi., M.P., also a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture, presented on “Using Reference Manager (Mendeley).” The second session was moderated by Hafnes Wahyuni, S.P., M.P., a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture.


This workshop was enthusiastically attended by faculty members and students. The participants were guided in using the Reference Manager (Mendeley) application and were taught the structure and format of writing international scientific journals. Furthermore, every session provided opportunities for participants to engage in discussions and ask questions to the speakers, both online and offline at the Seminar Room of DH Penny Building.


At the closing of the event, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture, delivered the closing remarks. She expressed hope that the participants would apply the knowledge gained to produce journals indexed by Scopus.
