Medan – FP USU: The International ASIIN Accreditation Preparation Workshop for the Agrotechnology Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, was successfully held in a hybrid format at the DH Penny Seminar Room on Monday, December 5, 2022.
The event began with opening remarks from the Vice Dean I, Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., followed by a formal opening speech by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S. The workshop featured expert speakers in their respective fields.

The first session featured Prof. Dr. Ir. Endang Yuniastuti, M.Si., a Professor from the Agrotechnology Study Program at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). She delivered a presentation on “Strategies for Optimizing the Development of Learning Outcomes, Learning Substance, and Graduate Competencies as the Main Focus of ASIIN Accreditation.” This session was moderated by Wida Akasah, S.Agr., M.Sc., a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture.

The second session was presented by Ida Rumia Manurung, S.P., M.Agr., with a focus on “Compiling the ASIIN International Accreditation Form.” This session was moderated by Hafnes Wahyuni, S.P., M.P., a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture.

In the third session, Gani Cahyo Handoyo, S.P., M.Si., delivered a presentation on “Technical Preparations for Supporting Facilities and Infrastructure for ASIIN International Accreditation (OBE, WEB, Laboratory, and K3).” This session was moderated by Nur Sa’adah, S.ST., M.Agr., a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture.

The workshop was attended enthusiastically by lecturers from the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Throughout the sessions, participants received detailed explanations and practical guidance on preparing for ASIIN International Accreditation for the Agrotechnology Study Program. Each session concluded with a discussion and Q&A session, conducted both online and offline in the DH Penny Seminar Room.

The event concluded with closing remarks from the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si. She expressed her hope that, through the experience shared by UNS, the Agrotechnology Study Program at the Faculty of Agriculture USU can achieve ASIIN International Accreditation, similar to what has been accomplished by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). She emphasized the importance of collective effort, including improving program quality and enhancing supporting facilities and infrastructure, to deliver the best performance and ultimately achieve the accreditation.
