The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) has officially launched the 2026–2027 Student Research Competition for active university students across Indonesia. Outstanding research proposals will be eligible for funding of up to Rp20 million, with a total prize pool of Rp110 million. Proposal submissions are open until October 30, 2026.

The Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) has officially opened the 2026–2027 Student Research Competition as part of its commitment to supporting research and development activities among active students enrolled in academic and vocational higher education institutions throughout Indonesia.

Through this program, BPDP provides students with the opportunity to develop innovative research in science and technology that contributes to the sustainable development of Indonesia's oil palm, cocoa, and coconut plantation sectors.

The best research proposals will receive funding of up to Rp20 million, with a total prize pool of Rp110 million.

Priority Research Areas

Research proposals are invited in the following priority areas:

  • Bioenergy
  • Biomaterials & Oleochemicals
  • Food, Feed, & Health
  • Land, Soil, & Cultivation
  • Post-Harvest & Processing
  • Waste Management & Environmental Sustainability
  • Socioeconomics, Management, Business, Markets, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT)
