Applications for the Tanoto Foundation TELADAN Leadership Scholarship Program 2027 are now open until September 7, 2026. The program offers educational financial support, living allowances, and leadership development opportunities for eligible new students of Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Tanoto Foundation has opened applications for the TELADAN Leadership Scholarship Program 2027 for new students of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). The program provides students with educational financial support while also offering a leadership development program conducted over 3.5 years (Semesters 2–8).

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Be an Indonesian citizen.
2. Be enrolled as a regular undergraduate (S1) first-semester student at Universitas Sumatera Utara, one of the partner universities of the TELADAN Program, and remain enrolled until graduation. Students are not permitted to transfer to an international program.
3. Not be actively enrolled at another higher education institution or pursuing dual enrollment.
4. Be committed to participating in the TELADAN Leadership Development Program from Semester 2 through Semester 8.
5. Demonstrate strong leadership potential and a commitment to contributing to society and national development.
6. Have good communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia. Proficiency in English or other foreign languages will be considered an advantage.
7. Have a strong academic record, with a minimum average Grade 12 report card score of 8.0 on a 10-point scale, as well as non-academic achievements such as organizational experience, community involvement, or similar activities.
8. Not currently receive any other scholarship or financial assistance and agree not to receive other scholarships or leadership development programs throughout the TELADAN Program.

Program Benefits

Students who successfully pass the selection process will become Tanoto Scholars and participate in the TELADAN Leadership Program for 3.5 years. The benefits include:

4. Access to the Tanoto Foundation alumni network in Indonesia and internationally.
