The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, is organizing The 4th TALENTA-Agricultural Summer Course 2026 with the theme “Smart and Sustainable Agri-Food Systems: From Local Wisdom to Global Solutions” as an international learning platform to strengthen understanding of sustainable agricultural and food systems, local wisdom, innovation, and global competencies. The activity is open to students, researchers, lecturers, and practitioners, with a series of activities at Universitas Sumatera Utara, North Sumatra, and Universiti Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), is once again organizing The 4th TALENTA-Agricultural Summer Course 2026 with the theme “Smart and Sustainable Agri-Food Systems: From Local Wisdom to Global Solutions”.

This activity serves as an international learning platform for students, researchers, lecturers, and practitioners to broaden their insights into smart and sustainable agricultural and food systems. Participants will also have the opportunity to integrate local wisdom with modern technology and develop global competencies, intercultural skills, communication skills, and international networks.

Learning Outcomes

Participants are expected to be able to:

Understand sustainable agriculture and food systems.
Integrate local wisdom with modern technology.
Improve global competencies, intercultural skills, communication skills, and international networks.

Methods and Outputs

The activity will be conducted through expert lectures, panel discussions, field study, community service, cultural exchange, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD).

Participants will receive:

Certificate of participation;
Final project/report;
International learning experience; and
Academic credit recognition of 2 SKS/3.2 ECTS.
