The Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Resources Management at the North Nias Regency Campus of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is one of USU's study programs held outside the USU Medan campus. This study program teaches an in-depth understanding of water resources management with an emphasis on environmental sustainability.

Assalamualaikum, greetings to all of us. Welcome to the website of the Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Resources Management at North Nias Regency Campus, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

Aquatic Resource management is the study of developing aquatic resources, both freshwater, marine, and estuary related to preservation, conservation, ecosystems, and fisheries in a sustainable manner. The Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Resources Management is trusted to develop science and create graduates who can manage aquatic resources optimally with the principles of ecological and economic balance so that these aquatic resources remain sustainable. The Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Resources Management at the North Nias Regency Campus is under the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This study program has the vision to become a leading study program in North Sumatra, especially Nias Island by producing professional graduates in marine and fisheries. This is in line with the division of 3 main interests related to aquatic resource management, fisheries resource management, and fisheries biotechnology. The interest in aquatic resource management is directed at developing knowledge related to all physical and chemical processes of waters and their interactions as a way to increase the use value of waters and their ecosystems, such as aquatic bioremediation, conservation, and aquatic ecotourism. The interest in fisheries resource management is directed towards developing fisheries management, such as fisheries population biology to assess strategies for managing fisheries resources for sustainability. Furthermore, fisheries biotechnology is directed towards developing the use value of fisheries products and fisheries production. The presence of this website is very helpful to introduce the study program, and present various information related to lectures, news of lecturers’ three pillars of higher education, and achievements by students and lecturers of the Undergraduate Program in Aquatic Resources Management. We sincerely hope that the information presented on this website can be useful for students, alumni, graduates, and the community. I hope this website can be useful for all parties.
