FP USU collaborates with PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk for the 2023 Management Trainee Recruitment. This program offers career opportunities for fresh graduates in the palm oil plantation industry.

Medan – FP USU: The Recruitment Management Trainee (MT) program by PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk was successfully conducted at the Soeratman Hall and DH Penny Building, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), on Monday–Tuesday, February 6–7, 2023.


PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk (TAPG) operates in palm oil plantations, palm oil processing industries through subsidiaries and associate companies, as well as rubber plantations. TAPG is committed to producing high-quality crude palm oil and palm kernel to meet both domestic and international market demands. The company's vision is "Building the Best Plantation for the World," with the mission of "Developing Environmentally Friendly Plantations to Improve People's Lives."


PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk opened vacancies for MT Field, MT Workshop, MT Infrastructure, and MT CSR positions. The requirements for applicants include:

  • Maximum age of 24 years.
  • Minimum education of D3 with a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • Graduation year 2021–2022.
  • Willingness to undertake a service bond for 2 years and 6 months.
  • Willingness to be placed in Kalimantan.
  • Having received the third dose (booster) of the Covid-19 vaccine.

The recruitment event was conducted over two consecutive days, starting at 09.00 and ending at 17.00 WIB. The event began with participant registration, followed by an official opening speech by the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si.


“This activity serves as a platform for universities to provide their alumni with opportunities to secure promising and rewarding jobs,” stated the Vice Dean III in her remarks.


The event continued with the company profile presentation delivered by the Human Capital (HC) Department Team from PT Triputra Agro Persada’s Head Office.

Recruitment Stages

  1. Day One: Written psychological tests, including newspaper tests, Wartegg tests, and human figure drawing tests.
  2. Day Two: Applicants who passed the psychological tests proceeded to the interview stage with the Human Capital Team.

The Recruitment Management Trainee program by PT Triputra Agro Persada Tbk is expected to produce the best MT candidates for the company and help reduce unemployment rates among high-potential fresh graduates. Through this initiative, TAPG's vision of "Building the Best Plantation for the World" can be realized.
