The Doctoral Promotion Exam for Desi Novita from the Agricultural Science PhD Program at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) was held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 14:30 WIB in the IMT GT Room. Her dissertation was titled "Sustainable Red Chili Agribusiness Area Development Model in North Sumatra Province."
The promotion exam was led by the Head of the Examination Panel, who is also the Head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science, Prof. Luthfi A. Mahmud Siregar, S.P., M.Sc, Ph.D. The exam panel also included Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S. (Promotor), Dr. Lie Reg. reg. Sirceujilam, S.E. (Co-Promotor), Dr. Ir. Satia Negara Lubis, M.Ec. (Co-Promotor), Prof. Dr. Ir. Hermanto Siregar, M.Ec. (External Examiner), Prof. Dr. Agus Purwoko, S.Hut., M.Si. (External Examiner), and Dr. Ir. Rahmanta Ginting, M.Si. (External Examiner).
Desi Novita successfully completed the Doctoral Promotion Exam with the Very Satisfactory grade. She is currently a lecturer at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara (UISU). The event was also attended by the Rector of UISU, Prof. Dr. Safrida, SE, M.Si., and the former Rector of UISU, Prof. Dr. Ir. Mhd Asaad, M.Si.
