The Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) conducted the Doctoral Promotion Examination of Dian Hendrawan (Student ID: 188104017) on Monday, 22 December 2025, at 08.30 WIB, held at the IMT GT Room, USU.
During the examination, the promovendus defended a dissertation entitled “Consumers’ and Farmers’ Willingness to Pay and Willingness to Accept toward Food Safety Labels.” This dissertation examines the perceptions and willingness of consumers and farmers to accept and pay for food safety labels, which is expected to make an important contribution to the development of policies and sustainable food systems.
The Doctoral Promotion Examination was chaired by Prof. Luthfi A.M. Siregar, SP, Ph.D., as the Chair of the Examination Board as well as Head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences. The examination and supervisory committee consisted of Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS. (Promoter), Rulianda P. Wibowo, S.P., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Co-Promoter), Dr. Lindawati, S.P., M.Si. (Co-Promoter), Dr. Ir. Rahmanta, M.Si. (Examiner), Sri Fajar Ayu, S.P., M.M., DBA. (Examiner), and Dr. Mahdi, S.P., M.P. from Universitas Andalas (Examiner).
The academic community extends its congratulations to Dian Hendrawan on the successful completion of the Doctoral Promotion Examination. It is hoped that this academic achievement will make a tangible contribution to the advancement of knowledge and provide broad benefits to society, particularly in the field of food safety.
