The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), has once again demonstrated its commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Regal Springs Indonesia (RSI) through the implementation of the candidate selection process for the 2026 internship program. The interview session was held at the D. H. Penny Hall, FP USU, on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
A total of 15 candidates, consisting of students and alumni from the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, participated in the selection process as part of efforts to enhance competencies and prepare graduates for professional careers.
The interviews were conducted smoothly and involved RSI’s management team, including Sonny E. Francisco as Head of Hatchery, Edi Utomo as Production Manager, and Nilawati as HR Assistant Manager.
In addition to conducting interviews, the RSI team provided an orientation session regarding the working environment and internship placement locations that will serve as learning and professional development opportunities for candidates who successfully pass the selection process.
This internship program represents a tangible synergy between academia and industry in developing highly qualified, competent, and industry-ready human resources capable of contributing to the advancement of Indonesia’s aquaculture sector. Through this collaboration, FP USU hopes that the selected participants will gain valuable experience and further strengthen their professional capacities within the aquaculture industry alongside Regal Springs Indonesia.
