MoA signing between the Faculty of Agriculture USU and the Faculty of Agriculture Hasanuddin University, focusing on collaboration in education, research, and community service.

Located in the seminar room of the DH Penny Building at the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Hasanuddin was held on Friday, February 4, 2022. It is worth noting that this event marked the first in-person MoA signing conducted by the Faculty of Agriculture USU in 2022.


The leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture USU who attended the event included the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., the Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Prof. Dr. Elisa Julianti, and the heads of study programs within the faculty. On the other hand, the delegation from the Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University, was represented by Prof. Dr. Sc. Agr. Ir. Baharuddin (Dean), Dr. Muh. Hatta Jamil, S.P., M.Si. (Vice Dean for Academics, Research, and Innovation), as well as the heads of study programs from the Faculty of Agriculture, UNHAS.


The MoA document contains four articles regarding the collaboration between the two Faculties of Agriculture, both of which are under public universities with legal entity status (PTN-BH) and come from outside Java. The focus of this agreement is not only on the organization and exchange of education through MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka), but also includes the organization of joint research, community service, and other matters related to science, technology, and arts.


The MoA signing event was concluded with a hybrid webinar on precision agriculture, held both in the DH Penny seminar room and via Zoom meeting. The speaker for this session was Prof. Dr. Sc. Agr. Ir. Baharuddin, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Hasanuddin.
