Research is one of the important tasks in the Tri Dharma component of Higher Education. So far, research is still carried out individually and spontaneously, not towards a certain final goal. Lecturers and students still conduct research individually and there is no connection with each other. With these considerations, the Master Program in Agribusiness of FP USU conducted an FGD on the Preparation of a Research Roadmap.
To get a complete picture of the issues that are developing in the field of agribusiness, the Master Program in Agribusiness invites relevant stakeholders to provide input on important research needs and will be compiled in a research roadmap. For this purpose, the Master Program in Agribusiness invited all lecturers who teach courses and related agencies, such as (1) Plantation Office of North Sumatra Province; (2) Food Crops and Horticulture Office of North Sumatra Province; (3) Food Security and Animal Husbandry Office of North Sumatra Province; (4) Marine and Fisheries Office of North Sumatra Province; (5) Oil Palm Research Center of North Sumatra Province; (6) Indonesian Rubber Research Center of North Sumatra Province / Sungei Putih Research Center; (7) Agriculture and Food Division of the National Research and Innovation Agency in the North Sumatra Province Region; (8) Governance, Economy and Community Welfare Division of the National Research and Innovation Agency in the North Sumatra Province Region. In addition, the Master Program in Agribusiness also invited the USU Research Institute as the center for research management at the Universitas Sumatera Utara and Vice Dean III as the unit in charge of research at the USU Faculty of Agriculture. This activity was continued with the socialization of the use of e-learning applications for all study program lecturers.
This activity was carried out on December 13, 2022, starting at 08.30 WIB until 15.30 WIB. Through this activity, it is hoped that a draft roadmap can be compiled that can be used as a basis for selecting research topics for lecturers and students, so that in the future research results can be obtained that can be used as input for policy makers. Through this activity, it is also expected that lecturers can increase the utilization of e-learning in the teaching and learning process.
