The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), through the Master's Program in Agribusiness Program, once again organized an international workshop themed “Inclusive and Sustainable Palm Oil” on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the DH Penny Building, FP USU Postgraduate Program.
This workshop is part of an annual collaboration that has been established since 2016 between the Master's Program in Agribusiness Program of FP USU and the Environmental Internships & Deakin Language Program, Australia. The event aims to deepen understanding and foster international collaboration on issues of inclusivity and sustainability in Indonesia’s palm oil industry.
A total of 32 participants attended the workshop, consisting of 21 students from Australia, 8 Indonesian students, and 2 staff members. The workshop was conducted in an interactive manner, allowing participants to discuss and exchange perspectives on the challenges and opportunities for sustainability in the agribusiness sector, especially in palm oil.
This event is a concrete initiative supporting the internationalization of study programs at FP USU and broadening students’ insights on a global scale. The Dean’s presence at the workshop further demonstrated strong support for building cross-country academic networks.
