The USU Faculty of Agriculture successfully held the XI National Seminar on Community Service in 2024 with the theme of downstreaming innovative research. This seminar presented expert speakers and participants from all over Indonesia to disseminate the results of community service.

One of the routine scientific activities held by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) is the National Seminar on the Results of Community Service Activities. This year, the seminar has entered its 11th year and was held on November 6, 2024 at the D.H. Penny Building, Faculty of Agriculture USU. The theme of this year's event is “Downstreaming Innovative Research for Community Economic Empowerment and Environmental Sustainability through Community Service”.

The XI National Seminar on the Results of Community Service Activities in 2024 was attended by the Secretary of LPPM USU, Chairperson of the Seminar Organizing Committee, resource persons, heads of study programs and secretary of study programs, lecturers, students, and seminar participants both online and offline. Seminar participants came from various regions in Indonesia.

Secretary of LPPM USU, Dr. Meutia Nauly, S.Psi., M.Si., Psychologist, gave a speech and officially opened this event. The Chief Executive, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si., also delivered a speech. In her remarks, she hoped that this activity could help disseminate the results of community service and could continue in the coming years.

The event also presented resource persons who are experts in their fields, namely Prof. Dr. Ir. I. Ketut Widnyana, M.Si., who is a DRTPM Service Reviewer and lecturer at Mahasaraswati University, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Abdul Rauf, M.P., lecturer at the Universitas Sumatera Utara.
