The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held the Open Doctoral Defense of Desti Prestasi Zendrato (NIM: 208104003) on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 09.30 WIB in the IMT-GT Room, Universitas Sumatera Utara, conducted in a hybrid format.
In the examination, Desti presented her dissertation entitled “Porang Tuber Glucomannan Extract as a Prebiotic and Cholesterol Reduction Agent in Broiler Chickens.”
The examination was chaired by Prof. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, who also served as the Head of the Session. Also in attendance were Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si. (Promoter), Dr. Ir. Ma’ruf Tafsin, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM. (Co-Promoter), and Dr. Ir. Nevy Diana Hanafi, S.Pt., M.Si., IPM. (Co-Promoter).
As external and internal examiners, Prof. Dr. sc. agr. Ir. Adi Ratriyanto, S.Pt., M.P., IPU. from IPB University and Prof. Ir. Hotnida Sinaga, M.Phil., Ph.D. from Universitas Sumatera Utara were also present.
The entire examination process went smoothly, and Desti Prestasi Zendrato was declared to have successfully passed the doctoral defense.
