The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), officially began the distribution of attributes for the 2026 Campus Life Introduction Program for New Students (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru/PKKMB) on Wednesday (5 August 2026) at the Soeratman Hall Building, FP USU. The activity marked an initial stage in welcoming new students before they participate in the series of PKKMB activities for the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
A total of 920 new undergraduate students at the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, are scheduled to collect their attributes in stages on 5–6 August 2026. The schedule is organized according to study programs to ensure that the distribution process runs in an orderly, smooth, and comfortable manner for all participants. The new students consist of 281 students from the Agrotechnology Study Program, 193 from Agribusiness, 95 from Food Technology, 165 from Animal Husbandry, 92 from Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering, and 94 from Aquatic Resources Management.
On the first day, Wednesday (5 August 2026), the morning session was attended by new students from the Food Technology and Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Programs, while the afternoon session was attended by students from the Animal Husbandry and Aquatic Resources Management Study Programs. Meanwhile, the attribute distribution on the second day, Thursday (6 August 2026), is scheduled for students from the Agrotechnology Study Program in the morning and the Agribusiness Study Program in the afternoon.
During the activity, new students received PKKMB attributes consisting of an almamater jacket, hat, and scarf as official attire for the 2026 PKKMB series. The distribution process was coordinated by the Student Affairs and Alumni Division Committee of FP USU, with support from members of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FP USU, who assisted in directing participants throughout the activity.
The distribution of PKKMB attributes was also supported by Livin' by Mandiri and Grab as event sponsors. Livin' by Mandiri provided application activation services for new students to facilitate transactions during their university studies, while Grab offered the activation of special savings packages that students can use to support their daily activities.
Through a structured scheduling system, the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, strives to ensure that the attribute distribution process is efficient while providing the best possible service to all new students. The activity marks the beginning of welcoming 920 new students from the 2026 cohort as part of the extended family of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
In addition to serving as preparation for the PKKMB series, the activity reflects the faculty’s commitment to creating an orderly, inclusive academic environment that supports new students’ adaptation to university life, in line with the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education.
