The USU Faculty of Agriculture has established another new collaboration with PT Oscar Plantation Group on Thursday, May 7, 2024, at the D.H. Penny Building of the USU FP. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU (Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S.), Vice Dean III FP USU (Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si.), Director of PT Oscar Plantation Group (Dr. Ir. Dadang Kurnia, M.M.), Head of Study Program, expert staff, and staff of PT Oscar Plantation Group. This cooperation is planned to be implemented in the field of internships first.
In addition to signing the cooperation, a public lecture was also held with a guest speaker, Dr. Ir. Dadang Kurnia, M.M, as Director of PT. Oscar Plantation Group. This public lecture event was held hybrid and carried the theme "Downstream Industry Based on Agro Innovation System Perspectives." This theme is carried out to encourage student's interest in looking at the downstream sector of agricultural products that need to be improved with innovation.
It is hoped that this collaboration will give FP USU students the opportunity to intern in the plantation area of PT Oscar Plantation Group.
