MoA signing between Faculty of Agriculture Universitas Sumatera Utara and UPT Mekanisasi Pertanian North Sumatra for enhanced education, research, and community service.

Located at the Agricultural Mechanization UPT, the Department of Food Crops and Horticulture of North Sumatra Province, a signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) and the Agricultural Mechanization UPT, Department of Food Crops and Horticulture of North Sumatra Province was held on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.


The leadership of the Faculty of Agriculture USU who attended the event included the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., the Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Agriculture USU, Prof. Dr. Elisa Julianti, as well as the Head and Secretary of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program. Meanwhile, the leadership of the Agricultural Mechanization UPT was represented by Efendi Pane, S.P., M.Si. (Head of UPT), accompanied by the head of the section and UPT staff.


The purpose of this cooperation agreement is to enhance the implementation of education, research, and community service for the faculty and students of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program, as well as to improve the quality of human resources within higher education through cooperation with partner institutions in education, research, and community service.


The scope of this cooperation agreement includes:

  1. Education (Internships, Field Work Practices for students of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program),
  2. Research (Implementation of research by faculty and students of the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Study Program),
  3. Community Service (Provision of expert resources as speakers in activities organized by both parties),
  4. Other activities mutually agreed upon.
