Held virtually through Zoom meeting, the Socialization of Alignment in Research and Community Service Direction at the Faculty of Agriculture USU took place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Acting as the speakers for the event were the Head of the USU Research Institute, Prof. Dr. Robert Sibarani, M.S., and the Secretary of the USU Community Service Institute, Meutia Nauly, S.Psi., M.Si., Psychologist.
This event is part of the series of activities for developing a research roadmap aimed at determining the focus and stages of research downstreaming achievements at the Faculty of Agriculture for the next five years. This research roadmap also functions as the research profile of the Faculty of Agriculture in improving research performance at both the national and international levels. The research roadmap will begin with six fields of study in the Faculty of Agriculture, consisting of Agrotechnology, Agribusiness, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Husbandry, Food Technology, and Aquatic Resource Management, which will then collaborate simultaneously within the research focus.
The result of this socialization is the research roadmap for the study programs and university, which will later be socialized to national and international stakeholders. With the roadmap, it is hoped that the research and community service outcomes of the faculty members at the Faculty of Agriculture USU will become more focused, in line with the university's roadmap. The three-hour socialization was attended by all Heads of Study Programs within the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
