The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, welcomed a visit from the USU Quality Assurance Agency (BPM USU) for the socialization of BAN-PT Regulation No. 18 of 2024 regarding the automated accreditation renewal process and coordination of SPMI Cycle 18 for 2025. This event aimed to enhance academic quality and the internal quality assurance system at FP USU.

The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), received a visit from the USU Quality Assurance Agency (BPM USU) on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. This visit aimed to socialize BAN-PT Regulation No. 18 of 2024 regarding the PEPA Instrument for Study Program Accreditation Renewal through an Automated Mechanism, as well as to coordinate the implementation of SPMI Cycle 18 for 2025.

 

The event was attended by Dr. dr. Isti Ilmiati Fujiati, M.Sc. CM-FM., M.Pd, Ked., FISPH FISCM., Sp.KKLP., Subsp.COMC. as Head of BPM USU, Ir. Tati Vidiana Sari, S.Pt., M.P., IPM as Secretary of BPM USU, Prof. Dr. Jonner Hasugian, M.Si. as Manager of National Accreditation Affairs, Wida Akasah, S.Agr., M.Sc. as Manager of SPMI Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS. as Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, along with faculty board members, study program heads and secretaries, as well as representatives of GJM and GKM within the Faculty of Agriculture.

 

In his presentation, Prof. Jonner Hasugian stated, "There are several Automated Mechanism Indicators (IMA) that must be considered for the renewal of study program accreditation status." He also emphasized the importance of "validating study program data in PD-Dikti to ensure accuracy."

Meanwhile, Wida Akasah highlighted the importance of "implementing a quality assurance system and its correlation with a faculty’s budget allocation."

 

Dean Prof. Tavi Supriana also expressed his approval, stating that "the implementation of SPMI within the Faculty of Agriculture should be conducted as objectively and optimally as possible for the betterment of the faculty in the future."

It is hoped that this socialization effort will encourage study programs at FP USU to achieve excellent accreditation and enhance their quality assurance systems in SPMI Cycle 18 for 2025.
