The Summer Course Animal Science 2024 was held from August 23 to September 14, 2024, in both online and offline formats. The online lectures took place from August 23 to September 7, 2024. The program was officially opened with welcome speeches from representatives of each participating university: Dr. Ir. Idat Galih Permana, M.Sc.Agr., Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, IPB University; Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, MS., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara; and Prof. Anjas Asmara bin Samsudin from Universiti Putra Malaysia. The program was officially inaugurated by Dr. Windi Al Zahra from IPB University, who served as the coordinator of this year's Summer Course Program, with IPB University as the host.
A total of 19 speakers from various universities, both domestic and international, delivered online lectures, including:

The online sessions were not limited to lectures by the speakers. A total of 222 participants, comprising 116 students from domestic universities and 106 students from international universities, also presented the results of their group discussions on various topics related to animal science. These discussions were evaluated as part of the certification process, and the best participants were recognized.
From September 10 to 14, 2024, an excursion was held in West Java, attended by 68 participants, with IPB University as the host. The excursion included educational and cultural activities, such as a campus visit to IPB University, a company visit to PT. Frisian Flag, an outbound activity in Cikole - Lembang and Bandung City, and a visit to the Dairy Farm Village.
It is hoped that this collaborative Summer Course program will continue to be held annually, with an increasing number of participants from both domestic and international universities.
