The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, extends its congratulations and appreciation to lecturers who have successfully obtained Multiyear Research Funding (Ongoing) for the 2026 Fiscal Year. This achievement serves as recognition of the dedication and contribution of the academic community in advancing scientific knowledge and innovation in sustainable agriculture.
The recipients of the research funding include Prof. Ir. Edison Purba with the research title “Identification and Mechanism of Echinochloa crus-galli Resistance to Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) Inhibitor Herbicides” under the PPS-PMDSU scheme.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Mariani Br. Sembiring also received funding under the PFR scheme with the research title “Formulation of 1-Aminocyclopropane-1-Carboxylate (ACC) Deaminase-Producing Bacteria and Soil Amendment Applications in Suboptimal Lands to Support Food Security.”
This achievement is expected to further encourage the strengthening of innovative research within Universitas Sumatera Utara, particularly in supporting the development of agricultural technology, food security, and solutions to sustainable agricultural challenges in Indonesia.
