The Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara received a visit from SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam on Thursday, March 14, 2024. The visit was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the USU Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S. The parties who attended from SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam included the principal, 4 teachers, and 10 students. The purpose of the visit by SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam was to learn how to make ginger candy.
The demonstration of making ginger candy was carried out in the Basic Unit Operations Lab with the resource person, Prof. Dr. Ir. Elisa Julianti, M.Si, accompanied by several lecturers, laborants, and laboratory assistants. The students looked very enthusiastic following the demonstration.
The activity ended with an exchange of souvenirs between the USU Faculty of Agriculture and SMP Negeri 1 Lubuk Pakam. Hopefully, the students will gain practical knowledge and valuable experience from this visit.
