Welcome to the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness. It is an honor to work and learn with you!

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy launched by the Minister of Education and Culture is a momentum for the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness to deconstruct the curriculum to prepare students to become tough, adaptive, innovative, and creative scholars who are ready to become leaders with the spirit of Pancasila, nationality, and high social sensitivity. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 and technological disruption require higher education to adjust the curriculum following the development of the industrial world and provide opportunities for students to gain broader learning experiences and new competencies through learning activities outside the study program. To support the achievement of graduate competencies through the rapid development of the industry, the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness adapts the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum deconstruction based on the implementation of the MBKM program. The academic program that the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness has prepared gives students the right to study outside their study program for 1-2 semesters. The MBKM program opens vast opportunities for students to enrich and improve their insights and competencies in the real world according to their interests and talents. The Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness continuously strengthens learning plans adapted to the industry's dynamically changing needs. Increasing the role of industry practitioners is not only done during curriculum development. Still, it will also be done throughout the year through course updates and involvement as teaching practitioners on campus. The Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness provides academic programs that match students' passions and interests and will pave the way to the type of career that excites students about the future. Students in the program are given the opportunity to engage with other students and faculty, building friendships and professional networks that will carry over into their careers. When it is time to graduate, students will leave USU with the knowledge, skills, and connections to take them where they dream and want to be. The Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness has a top-notch academic program with nationally and internationally recognized lecturers who act as dedicated academic advisors, extracurricular activities that support a well-rounded campus life, and consistently impressive careers among graduates of the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness.

Alumni Testimonials

Studying Agribusiness has been instrumental in my personal and business development.

I am proud to represent the alumni of the Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness to testify that I have learned a lot that has become valuable for my personal and business development. The most important things are mental readiness, communication skills, and the ability to withstand various situations and disciplines related to agricultural product marketing and agribusiness analysis.

The knowledge from Agribusiness is very valuable to me.

During my studies at the USU Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness, I gained a deep understanding of the integration of agricultural values and business aspects. This provided a solid foundation for understanding the dynamics of agricultural markets. As Director of Market Development and Export Information at the Ministry of Trade, my knowledge from this study program is invaluable in designing national agricultural market development strategies

Agribusiness forged me to be career-ready.

There are three things that I consider to be the benefits of college for my career at Bank Indonesia. The first is mental readiness to face unexpected events. You could say that I always expect the unexpected. I still don't expect the journal I compiled until dawn to meet specific criteria, and I have to redo it. This process made me think that what I thought was good may not necessarily be considered reasonable by others. Therefore, I try to give more than I calculated to fulfill the unexpected possibility.
Second, the ability to process data (econometrics) is beneficial in my current job. The experience of processing my data amid various aspects of research is very challenging and, at the same time, useful later in the world of work. It was helpful when I took my master's degree at the Australian National University, Australia. Love what you do and do what you love.
Finally, respect others. With a diverse background, some are diligent, some are very devout to worship according to their respective religions/beliefs, and some are well-off and even economically disadvantaged like me, making me see that a diverse environment requires me to adapt quickly. Coping to high diversity.
I am proud that the lectures at the USU Undergraduate Program in Agribusiness forged me in my current and future careers. Thank you to my beloved alma mater.
