The Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology at the North Nias Regency Campus, which is under the auspices of the Faculty of Agriculture (FP) of the Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has a vision to become a superior and competitive study program at the national level in the development of sustainable tropical food crop cultivation technology and plantations. This study program aims to produce graduates who have the ability to identify, formulate, and solve problems in the field of agrotechnology, especially in the context of tropical food crops and plantations. Graduates are expected to be able to become planters, breeders, novice researchers, managers, and entrepreneurs with noble character who can contribute significantly to the economic development of society.

The agricultural sector plays an important role in developing national and regional economies because it functions as a food provider, industrial driver, employment provider, and source of community income. The quality of human resources plays an important role in the agricultural sector. The Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology at the North Nias Regency Campus is under the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This study program has the vision of becoming a study program that is superior and able to compete in the national order in the development and cultivation technology of sustainable tropical food crops and plantations. It is intended that graduates of this program will be able to identify, formulate, and think about solving problems in agrotechnology, especially tropical food crops and plantations. This website is very helpful in introducing the study program and conveying information on the Tri Dharma of higher education activities carried out by the program to achieve its vision to the community.
