FP USU conducted One-Stop App and E-Learning training to enhance online education services and achieve 2020–2024 strategic goals with 25 integrated administrative services.

Medan – FP USU: The One-Stop Application (ASA) and E-Learning Training was successfully held to support the Faculty of Agriculture’s Strategic Plan 2020–2024, particularly in increasing the percentage of online-based services. The event was conducted in a hybrid format at the Seminar Room, DH. Penny Building, on Saturday, October 15, 2022.


The training began with an opening speech by Dr. Lisnawita, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Agriculture, followed by a formal opening by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S. The event featured three expert speakers.

 


The first speaker, Dr. Nurman Achmad, M.Soc.Sc., the Director of the Bureaucratic Reform and Transformation Directorate and a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, presented on the topic "Updating Teaching Materials and Assignments Using E-Learning."


This session introduced participants to USU’s E-Learning platform, which facilitates teaching and learning activities electronically, allowing flexibility in time and location. Designed to simplify the teaching process for lecturers and students, the platform also enables efficient recording, monitoring, and evaluation of teaching activities.


The second speaker, Galih Ari Wirawan Siregar, S.Pt., M.Si., a lecturer at the Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, delivered a session on "Guidelines for Using E-Learning."


This session highlighted how to deliver teaching materials, conduct assessments, and facilitate synchronous and asynchronous learning using the E-Learning platform. Its main features include managing course content and activities, creating assignments, quizzes, and exams, taking online attendance, uploading course materials (slides, documents, syllabus, and lesson plans), and live-streaming lectures.


The third speaker, Nurul Indah Saraswati, S.I.Kom., from the Creative and Innovation Team at Universitas Sumatera Utara, presented on "Training on Using the One-Stop Application (ASA) for Students."


Participants were introduced to the ASA platform, designed for managing correspondence with faculties, involving multiple parties in submission, verification, and processing according to applicable SOPs. Currently, ASA offers 25 types of services, including:

The training was warmly received by lecturers and students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Participants gained practical education solutions through the ASA and E-Learning platforms.


The event concluded with closing remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Ir. Tavi Supriana, M.S., who expressed her hope that the training would provide tangible benefits to all participants.
