Faculty of Agriculture USU and Regal Springs Indonesia Conduct Selection Process for the 2026 Internship Program The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), in collaboration with Regal Springs Indonesia (RSI), conducted interview selections for the 2026 internship program for students and alumni of the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program. The activity, attended by 15 candidates, reflects the ongoing effort to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry in enhancing competencies, professional experience, and graduates’ readiness for careers in the aquaculture sector. 22 June 2026

Faculty of Agriculture USU and Regal Springs Indonesia Explore Collaboration on Lake Toba Fish Restocking Program The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), and Regal Springs Indonesia (RSI) discussed a potential collaboration on a Fish Restocking program in Lake Toba on June 18, 2026. The meeting marked an initial step toward strengthening cooperation in supporting the preservation of the Lake Toba ecosystem through synergy among academia, industry, and government. FP USU will provide academic and research support, while RSI is committed to promoting environmental sustainability through a collaboration- and innovation-based program. 22 June 2026

USU Faculty of Agriculture and Asahan Livestock Service Strengthen Collaboration for Livestock Sector Development The Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU) has established a collaboration with the Asahan Regency Livestock and Animal Health Service to develop a strategic plan for goat and sheep farming areas and formulate Public Service Standards for livestock business licensing. This collaboration aims to support sustainable livestock sector development through scientific studies, strengthened governance, and improved public service quality in Asahan Regency. 20 June 2026

USU Faculty of Agriculture Hosts Academic Visit from Australian Students, Discusses Indonesia’s Palm Oil Plantation Industry The Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU) welcomed an academic visit from Australian students facilitated by International Internships as part of an international learning program. The activity featured a lecture on Indonesia’s palm oil industry delivered by Prof. Ir. Diana Chalil, M.Si., Ph.D., and served as a platform for academic exchange and the strengthening of international cooperation between FP USU and global partners. 18 June 2026

Dean of FP USU Serves as Resource Person in Agrarian Reform Technical Guidance, Promotes Land Empowerment for Community Welfare The Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture of Universitas Sumatera Utara (FP USU), Dr. Rulianda Purnomo Wibowo, S.P., M.Ec., served as a resource person at the Technical Guidance on Community Land Empowerment organized by the Regional Office of the National Land Agency (BPN) of North Sumatra Province. During the event, he emphasized the importance of integrating asset restructuring and access restructuring within Agrarian Reform to enhance productivity, self-reliance, and community welfare, while reaffirming FP USU’s commitment as a strategic partner in community empowerment based on local agricultural potential. 15 June 2026

USU Faculty of Agriculture Holds Information Session on the 2026 NPUST Taiwan Study Abroad Program to Broaden Students’ Global Perspectives and Networks The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized an information session on the 2026 New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program at the National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. The event provided students with information on the opportunity to study in Taiwan for one semester, including alumni experiences, administrative procedures, academic life, and support available for Indonesian students. Through this program, the Faculty encourages students to broaden their horizons, build international networks, and enhance their global competencies through overseas study experiences. 12 June 2026
