USU Faculty of Agriculture Holds International Lecture ‘Animal Production Resilience in Southeast Asia’ The Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the International General Lecture “Animal Production Resilience in Southeast Asia” on August 4, 2025, in hybrid format, featuring three experts from Malaysia. Initiated by the Animal Science and Food Science programs, the event discussed natural fruit vinegar, optimizing agro-residue feed, and animal behaviour, welfare, and dairy production, concluding with a traditional mangulosi ceremony to honour the speakers. 08 August 2025

Building Strategic Collaboration, USU Faculty of Agriculture Visits Regal Spring Indonesia Farming Unit The USU Faculty of Agriculture visited Regal Spring Indonesia (RSI) in Toba to monitor student internship programs and enhance collaboration in sustainable tilapia aquaculture. PT. Grand Utama Mandiri Conducts Interview Selection at USU Faculty of Agriculture PT. Grand Utama Mandiri (GUM) held a job interview session at the USU Faculty of Agriculture on July 23, 2025, with 23 participants, the majority of whom were alumni from the Faculty of Agriculture. PT. FAP Agri Holds Recruitment at USU Faculty of Agriculture, Targets 250 Talented Alumni PT. FAP Agri held a recruitment event at the USU Faculty of Agriculture from July 21–23, 2025, attended by approximately 250 alumni from various universities. The selection process included aptitude tests, psychological assessments, group discussions, and interviews for positions such as Plantation, Workshop, Mill, and Administration Assistants. The event aims to accelerate alumni employment in the workforce. 28 July 2025

USU Faculty of Agriculture and IDN of America Hold Coffee Productivity Training in Samosir The USU Faculty of Agriculture, in collaboration with IDN of America, organized a training and empowerment program for coffee farmers in Samosir on July 15–16, 2025. This initiative aimed to increase coffee productivity and competitiveness through Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and post-harvest innovations, involving agricultural experts, local government, and cooperatives. The training covered pruning techniques, pest control, soil analysis, and compost production, with hands-on field sessions. This program is expected to encourage sustainable collaboration and bring Samosir coffee to global markets. 23 July 2025

Kaleb Sangatulo Lase (Student ID 210310007) Becomes the First Graduate of the Undergraduate Program in Agrotechnology at the North Nias Campus of the USU Faculty of Agriculture Kaleb Sangatulo Lase is the first student to take a thesis examination in the Undergraduate Agrotechnology Program at the North Nias Campus of the Faculty of Agriculture, USU, and successfully earned a "Very Satisfactory" predicate. 18 July 2025
